The studio has re-upped its deal with Abrams' Bad Robot Productions, first inked in 2006, for an additional three years.
The exclusive agreement keeps Abrams and long-time partner Bryan Burk developing with the studio through 2015, with both serving as executive producers on new television projects.
On top of new NBC project, which has a put pilot agreement at the network, Abrams and Bad Robot are soon launching the drama Revolution on NBC's fall lineup.
It will be the third Bad Robot series -- joining CBS' Person of Interest and Fox's exiting drama Fringe -- airing on broadcast networks this fall. Previous collaborations between Bad Robot and Warner Bros. include one-offs Alcatraz and Undercovers.
Warner Bros. extended its deal with another one of its high-profile EPS, Chuck Lorre, on Tuesday. His new agreement was for four years and sees him expanding projects to drama and cable.
