'The X Factor's' Chris Rene to Release Debut Album Next Month (Video)

Nearly one year after grabbing Americas attention with his original performance of Young Homie on The X Factor, Chris Rene will release his debut album, Im Right Here, on Syco/Epic Records.

Recording this album has been magic, said Rene of the disc, which drops on Oct. 2. This is what Ive always wanted to do. I am now truly living a dream.

Rene co-wrote most of the songs on the album, which was recorded over the last year in Los Angeles and produced by Claude Kelly (Akon, Britney Spears, Bruno Mars), Chuck Harmony (Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige), Supa Dups (Eminem, John Legend),Christian Rich (Pharrell, NERD, Lupe Fiasco), and Soulshock (Usher, Bruno Mars).

A preview of the track "Rockin' With You" reveals a crisp, breezy sound that showcases Rene's honeyed vocals as well as his rapping skills and sweet romantic rhymes: "I don't need a thousand girls/just one woman who will rock my world."

The 29-year-old Santa Cruz, Calif., natives new single Trouble, with its cool, reggae-flavored beats,attracted over one million views in its first week of released on YouTube. His previous record, Young Homie, peaked at no. 26 on Billboards Pop Songs chart.

The X Factor alum has another reason to celebrate -- Rene reached one year of sobriety in April.
