ABC is looking for a few unconventional families.

The network has given script orders to three ABC Studios projects from the writers of Frasier, Up All Night and Party Down.

Single-camera entry Pioneer Town hails from Peter Huyck (Frasier, Late Show With David Letterman) and revolves around a family who moves from New York City to a small town in California in order to simply their lives. Upon arriving, however, they find the close-knit community to which they now belong only further complicates their lives. Huyck, whose credits also include King of the Hill and The Late Show With David Letterman, will write and executive produce. He's repped by WME, Mosaic and Ziffren Brittenham.

Up All Night's Erica Rivinoja, meanwhile, will write and executive produce a single-camera comedy about a Mormon family that moves to Las Vegas. The project comes as the Mormon community continues to make headlines over its involvement in California's Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage. Repped by ICM Partners, Rivinoja's credits also include South Park and Grounded for Life.

Lastly, Party Down's John Enbom will write You're Doing It Wrong, a single-camera comedy about two young parents struggling to fit in with their new community who realize that their parenting skills pale in comparison to the pros they're now grouped with. Enbom, who's also attached to the Party Down feature film, will also executive produce the project. Repped by WME, his credits also include Veronica Mars and NBC's short-lived Free Agents.
