Fans looking for answers about Person of Interest's cliffhanger finale at the CBS drama's Comic-Con panel did not squeeze much out of creator Jonathan Nolan and showrunner Greg Plageman -- but the duo were confident about bringing back a recent guest.

"We had a great experience with Amy Acker and we have big plans for her," said Nolan, when asked if she would be reappearing in the sophomore season.

And that shouldn't come as a huge shock. The Dollhouse and Happy Town actress made her first appearance in the May finale as a psychologist determined to be a potential crime victim by the Machine. It was later revealed that she was actually "Root," the faceless hacker introduced earlier in the season. The episode left off with her killing Alicia (Elizabeth Marvel) and kidnapping Finch (Michael Emerson).

The rest of the panel, veered from residual expressions of Lost adoration for Emerson to one poorly delivered Passion of the Christ question for Jim Caviezel (Reese). Both actors did insist, however, that their characters' Odd Couple dynamic keeps the series interesting.

"I think we're walking the razors edge pretty well so far," noted Emerson, drawing a "What he said" from Caviezel.

For pure humor, the standout of the Q&A was unarguably Taraji P. Henson (Carter). The actress hammed it up when explaining her new-found paranoia from working around surveillance equipment, and said she'd even consider taking up the show's brand of vigilantism "with the right gun."

Henson also managed to sum up the tight-lipped writers' room in one well-received sentence: "We have to be drunk to get stuff out of them."
