Cavanaghs performance of Journeys Faithfully was thought to be one her peak performances, by both the judges and viewers alike. And although she has withstood some harsh criticism throughout the season, especially from mentor Jimmy Iovine, Cavanagh fought her way to a spot in the Top 4.
It was like a punch in the gut, the castoff told Halperin after Thursday nights result show, regarding Iovines especially critical comments about her performance.

Kapsch and Halperin debated a little on the group numbers. This week the Top 4 took on the Mamas and Papas' California Dreamin, which Haperin joked was more of a "California Nightmare" that probably had the late Mamas and Papas members rolling over in their graves.
The two talked Top 2 finale predictions and Kapsch disagrees with the Idol judges on Joshua Ledet. Is hereally the greatest singer in 50 years, like the judges have said?

"I can uneqivocally answer that question: Not he is not," Kapsch laughed. "I mean, yes he's talented. He has stage presence. But I'm sorry I just haven't jumped on this bandwagon."
Plus, Halperin spills on Ryan Seacrest and girlfriend Julianne Houghs sweet ride off the lot.
And discuss bringing back the mean, could Iovine be upgraded from mentor to judge?Which judge do they think should get the boot?
