TBS' rookie comedy Men at Work launched with back-to-back episodes Thursday evening, averaging 2.5 million total viewers for the 10 p.m. hour.

For the premiere, Men at Work drew 2.65 million viewers with 1.63 million in the ad-coveted 18-49 demo and 851,000 in the younger 18-34 demo. At 10:30 p.m., the half-hour sitcom drew 2.29 million viewers with 1.43 million in 18-49 and 778,000 in 18-34.

Created by Breckin Meyer (TNT's Franklin & Bash), the sitcom starring Danny Masterson, James Lesure, Michael Cassidy and Adam Busch is down from the recent comedy debut of Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse in November 2011 and on par with the season two premiere of Are We There Yet? last January.

Men at Work, from Sony TV and Fanfare, centers on four friends who work together at a magazine. Meyer, Jamie Tarses and Julia Franz are executive producers.

TBS continues to expand its comedy slate, recently snagging ABC's Cougar Town for an early 2013 premiere for the series' fourth season.
