Jason Sudeikis says he remains undecided on whether to return to Saturday Night Live for the upcoming season after nine years on the cast.
If so, he's surely Lorne Michaels' go-to guy to spoof Mitt Romney as the presidential race comes to a close this fall. But the actor, who stars alongside Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in the political comedy The Campaign, could soon follow former castmates Kristen Wiig and Adam Samberg out the door instead.
"I'd like the opportunity to use creative muscles that ... haven't been asked of me for the first nine years that I've worked there," Sudeikis tells the Los Angeles Times. "It could be some sort of title change. The least of the concerns is anything financial. I'm not buying a boat because of writing skits. It's more having a desire to give more to a place I really believe in. To stay just for the juice of being in the public eye of being Mitt Romney is not enough."

Sudeikis, 36, is in the midst of shooting We're the Millers with Jennifer Aniston. Since debuting on SNL, he's balanced his busy TV schedule and a budding movie career in such comedies as Horrible Bosses, The Bounty Hunter and Going the Distance.
As for his Romney impression, certainly his best-known role of late, the Kansas-born Sudeikis explains: "It's a weird time in the world. You say one wrong thing and lose points. We're probably just watching a guy who's scared to screw up. So my Mitt is a little square, a little boring, a little disconnected from the human experience."
A rep for SNL did not immediately respond to THR's request for comment on Sudeikis' status on the show.
