Just one day after the death of Beastie Boys' MCA Adam Yauch, HBO broadcast the trio's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, held last month at the Rock Hall in Cleveland, O.H.
Yauch, who was too ill to attend, dedicated the honor to his Beastie "Brothers."

"Id like to dedicate this award to my brothers Adam and Mike who have walked the globe with me," Yauch wrote in a letter, read by Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz and Michael "Mike D" Diamond on his behalf. "To anyone who has been touched by our band, who our music has meant something to, this induction is as much ours as it yours."
The hip-hop group declined to perform at the fete, but were honored by Travie McCoy, Kid Rock and Black Thought during a tribute show. Watch the performance below.
Dressed in matching green tracksuits, the trio was joined on-stage by The Roots for a medley of "No Sleep Till Brooklyn," "So What'cha Want," "Sabotage" and "The New Style." The Beastie Boys were officially inducted into the hall of fame by hip-hop legends Chuck D and LL Cool J.
Airing Saturday, May 5, HBO dedicated the broadcast to the late MC's memory. Yauch's photo was shown on-screen at the end of the show with text reading: 'In Memory of Adam Yauch."
