Since Kim Kardashian announced her intentions to run for mayor of L.A.-adjacent Glendale, it has become clear that the office is probably not an option for her.

The reality star described her political ambitions to her sister Khloe Kardashian in a bonus clip from herE! show, Khloe & Lamar. And she seems pretty serious about the idea. She has already selected a campaign manager and set her sights on achieving the residency requirement for the city and launching her mayoral bid in about five years.

So, I have to buy a house there, Kim tells her sister. It seems as if the self-professed Armenian princess is banking on the large Armenian community in Glendale for votes. And she says shes still looking into the requirements. So -- giving her the benefit of the doubt -- she probably already knows why she misspoke on the clip.

But, L.A.-based blog, Franklin Avenue, did the footwork for her and pointed out the most obvious mistake: One cant run for mayor in Glendale. It then turned to Tropico Stations Scott Lowe who explains why thats true and a few other hurdles Kardashian will have to jump before she can assume the office.

Sadly for Kim Kardashian, there is actually no public election for Mayor of Glendale since Glendale has a council-manager government, Lowe explains. To be mayor in Glendale, she'd need to win a seat on the city council for four years, making 30K a year to sit through endless meetings on sign ordinances and water rates and a bunch of other unglamorous stuff. The mayor is then selected from the existing council members for a one-year term.

Moral of the story? Its not impossible for Kim to ascend to the post, but its probably not likely either.
