Skyler Day is heading from one family to another.
The actress, who recurred as Drew's (Miles Heizer) girlfriend Amy during the third season of NBC's Parenthood, has booked a recurring role on Lifetime's Army Wives, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
On the sixth season of the Lifetime drama, Day will play Sophie Clarke, the 16-year-old daughter of Kelli Williams' Jackie Clarke and Robert John Burke's Army Gen. Clarke.
Williams joined the series in October and was upped to series regular shortly afterward and will play the matriarch of the politically connected family who was named after Jacqueline Kennedy.
Day's Sophie is described as a pretty and willful girl who can be flippant to the point of rudeness but knows how to turn on the charm and portray the perfect daughter. She's close with her father and has a deep resentment toward her mother for what she believes was a childhood of neglect. An airdate for her first episode has not yet been determined.
In addition to her seven-episode arc on NBC's Parenthood, Day's credits include TeenNick's Gigantic.
Parenthood completed its third season in February, with the critically praised Jason Katims drama awaiting word on its future.
Day is repped by ICM, Main Title Management and Loeb & Loeb.
Army Wives airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
