Comedy Centrals annual roasts of celebrities are always eventful, including the most recent Charlie Sheen extravaganza held last September.

This years roast of Roseanne Barr was no different. With Jane Lynch serving as Roast Master and fellow roasters including Ellen Barkin, Seth Green, Wayne Brady, Katey Sagal and Carrie Fisher, the insults were flying. Additionally, Barrs ex-husband, Tom Arnold, made a surprise appearance to do a little roasting of his ex-wife.

However, some of the most dramatic events didnt make it onto the broadcast.

The Hollywood Reporter attended the taping of the roast, which was held Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Hollywood Palladium, and can now share some of the juiciest morsels that didnt make the show.

Here are 5 things that didnt make it onto the Aug. 12 broadcast on Comedy Central:

1. The Red Carpet Was Roseanne Themed
Instead of the usual plush red carpet that rolls out before the show, a beige carpet reminiscent of the late-'80s, early-90s sitcom Roseanne lined the press line. Talent had to literally walk through a front door of a faade that had been built to look like the outside of Roseannes house on the show.

2. Jeffrey Ross Brought Friends
Jeffrey Ross created a lot of buzz by dressing as the late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno for the show. On the red carpet, he brought along friends: two young men wearing only football helmets and towels around their waists. During the acutal show, Ross performed his roast without his sidekicks.

3. Roseanne Did a Double Take, Threatened to Fire the Audience
Barr, who is very involved with politics and was hoping to get a nomination from the Green Party, entered the room with a "presidential" theme including an entourage of security men. She had to do this entrance scene twice for the cameras. When she finally took to the podium later in the show, she had some tough words for the audience when they laughed at her joke too early.

"Dont laugh until the end god damn it, or this audience is f---ing fired," she said.

4. Jane Lynch Had to Have a Makeup Pause
Barr greeted her fellow roasters with a hug and a kiss, which led to a makeup crisis at the top of the show. Lynch had to stop her opening monologue to get Barr's lipstick wiped off her face. Im use to having ladies all over my mouth, Lynch joked. Is there anything like a mistake right at the top of the show? she added.

5. A Controversial Joke Got Cut
Ross shock factor didnt stop with his outfit. The comedian made a joke about the recent Aurora, Colo., shooting that was deemed too controversial to make it into the broadcast.

Seth, congratulations. This is actually a great night for you, said Ross to fellow roaster Seth Green. You havent gotten this much attention since you shot all those people in Aurora.

Green, like alleged shooter James Holmes on July 20 at a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, has a full head of red hair.

Im kidding, Ross continued. You are not like James Holmes. At least he did something in a movie theater that people remember!
