Charlize Theron wants a piece of the Hatfields & McCoys pie.

Through her Denver and Delilah Productions banner, Theron and producers Dawn Olmstead (Prison Break) and Beau Flynn (Journey to the Center of the Earth) are taking their Hatfields & McCoys project to ABC, where they have a meeting scheduled for next week. John Glenn (Eagle Eye) is penning the project, with Theron currently attached only as a producer. Glenn's ABC pilot, Identity, was passed over at the network last year.

The news comes just days after History Channel broke ad-supported cable history viewership records with its three-part Hatfields & McCoys miniseries, which starred Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton as patriarchs of America's most famous feuding families. Theron's project predates History's miniseries.

Wednesday night's conclusion brought in 14.3 million viewers, topping the previous broadcasts and becoming the most-watched nonsports event ever on basic cable. Monday's two-hour premiere pulled in 13.9 million viewers, but the number dipping to 13.1 million on Tuesday. In the key demographics, the finale collected a whopping 6.3 million viewers in adults 25-54 and 5.1 million adults 18-49.
