Albany,Ga.police have arrested and charged three people in connection with the burglary of apawn shop owned byAmerican IdolchampionPhillip Phillips'family, according to a report by WALB.
23-year-old Maurice Sanders, 18-year-oldQuymeisha Wallace and 38-year-oldGeorge Ferguson appeared before Magistrate Judge Victoria Darrisaw Friday morning at the Dougherty Countymunicipal complex.Police arrested all three after serving search warrants at two homes yesterday. Stolen items from Albany Sporting Goods and Pawn Shop were found.

Sanders was charged with burglary, second-degree criminal damage to property, theft by receiving stolen property, theft by taking, and obstruction of an officer. Wallace was charged with theft by receiving stolen property and burglary. Ferguson was charged with obstruction of an officer. Wallace and Sanders were denied bond. Fergusons bond was set at $1,000.
As previously reported, Albany Sporting Goods and Pawn, located in the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe in Albany, was robbed sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning, according to local authorities.

The thieves utilized a backhoe to bust through the rear entrance of the shop. Approximately $4,000 worth of merchandise was taken from the store, including handguns, flat-screen television sets, necklaces, rings, antique pieces and coins, and the entire cash register, which at the time had about $110 in the drawer, according to aTMZ.
The 21-year-old singer-songwriter was recovering from a kidney operation at the time of the burglary. He is expected to join the American Idol Live!tour on July 6, which kicks off in Detroit.Phillips also recently changed his Twitter handle from @PPhillipsai11 to the snappier@Phillips.
