Dexter doesn't return until September, but a new promo for the Showtime drama's previews the epic moment of truth viewers have waited six seasons for.
In the final moments of last season's finale, Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) surprised Dexter (Michael C. Hall) when she walked in to a crime scene just in time to see her adopted brother's Dark Passenger plunging a sword into his latest victim.

In the new teaser -- intercut with stunning visuals of both Dexter and a shocked Deb -- the killer with a code philosophizes that "truth brings light," and that everything in his life has brought him to where he is now: "It's what I am, it's all I am. I can accept that but can she?"
Not to be outdone, the dialogue in the background offers Deb's potential first reaction to what she's witnesses: "Get away from the body Jesus Dexter," she says off-screen.
