Kenda Wilkinson, a former staple of E!s Girls Next Door reality franchise, is heading back to the small screen -- with a few changes.
In addition to appearing on a new network, Wilkinson tells The Hollywood Reporter that her WE tv series comes from a more positive place.
Were stepping out from the whole grey cloud, the former Playboy model said at the Spike Guys Choice Awards. Were happy now. We are in a stage in our lives where we want to be able to share with you guys what were going through, and its magical and were going through so many real lifetime changes.
With husband Hank Baskett and the couples two-year-old son, Hank IV, by her side, previews for the inaugural season of Kendra on Top tease an appearance from Hugh Hefner, new career opportunities and a positive pregnancy test but whose?
I can honestly say that what were capturing is something that no other reality show gets to capture, Wilkinson told THR. Its positive but its real nobody gets to really get this stuff for TV [because] people get too nervous about it. But were OK with it.
Following her breakthrough on The Girls Next Door, Wilkinson landed a spinoff deal with E! for the reality series Kendra. The spinoff ran for four seasons between 2009 and 2011, chronicling her new life as a wife and mother. In its final season, the show focused heavily on Basketts career struggles in the NFL.
Watch THRs interview with the couple in the video above. Below, find a preview clip for the new series debuting June 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
